Magic for Everyone
Watching the world through my kids' eyes is a lesson in paying attention. They see the magic because they haven't yet been taught to ignore it.
That ferry isn't just a boat; it's a floating piece of highway. That airplane isn't just a machine; it's a million precisely-engineered parts conspiring to make gravity optional for a few hours. They see these things with the same awe as they see a 30-story tree that grew itself out of a seed.
It's tempting to dismiss this perspective as naive, to say it ignores the world's sharp edges. It doesn't. The hardship isn't a reason to abandon our belief in the possible; it is the very problem statement we're meant to solve.
That belief in the possible is the force that reminds us that impossible things happen every day, some by nature's design and others by our own…and it fuels the conviction that we can, and must, build a future with more of that magic for everyone.
